Day 3 – Choose a new perspective

May Cause Miracles: Ok, love did not create that

by Bernard-Charles

Today, it was harder for me to relate to the topic because I already automatically changed my perspective and chose to see love. It’s from being so eagerly positive. A major point in this energy like I mentioned in the vlog is that the affirmation wording doesn’t sit well with me. I am not too sure why, but simply saying it wasn’t enough.

The affirmation for today –

Love did not create this.

I don’t think I like mixing negative tones with my affirmations. Love may not have created the root of the fear and sometimes that isn’t my fault, but the context in which that fear comes from. For example: Some people are negative in nature and lost morals awhile ago. Because of this they influence others with their toxic behavior and do it repeatedly to remind anyone of their negative lifestyle and habits.

Today, this was true as I had to decide my holiday plans. Originally, I wanted to sit alone and not go anywhere for the holiday because of all the stupid, petty and fake family drama on both sides. (Avoid the drama, period.) But, I wanted to see my grandfather for the holiday as he isn’t 100% healthy. Well, I chose to visit my dad for a few days and will be dealing with yelling, smoking, and more as a sacrifice. A loving sacrifice…yet another point in coming down was to get my new credit card from my grandpa. My father gave it to me instead of my grandfather who had it and I am having a very clear feeling that my card might have been used as it was given to me out of any envelope. This is a fear. I am choosing to follow love, but when it comes to money and finances with my father, I know he would definitely steal based on his individual history. SO, the question is: Do I still ignore this fear and change my perspective? What would you do in this situation given the details and the motivation behind MCM? Please tell me, would love to hear your take on it in the comments below.

My miracle moments
  1. Easter cheese – Last night before my mom went to bed, we were talking about making Easter dishes and she brought up a family tradition that deals with eggs and sugar. I looked it up online and found a recipe. It is called multiple things in European heritage, but it is widely accepted to be called Easter Cheese. You can find the recipe here and I tell you it is so yummy that I might do a blog post about it. The miracle of this moment is that today’s paper had an article about this very dish!
  2. Coloring eggs – I got to color eggs with my brothers and mom. It was very entertaining because we mixed colors, drew crazy designs, and had plastic wrappers to place the eggs in. This was a fun family activity and I can’t wait to eat hard boiled eggs! Sidenote: Eggs for spring are very symbolic as it represents fertility, growth and renewal. How representative of my MCM journey.

So there, a great sacred journey thus far and I am so grateful to be able to share it with you. How did your day go? Any advice for me regarding my slight dilemma? Check out the Day 3 morning reflection vlog and let me know if My Inspiration Network can help you out. Thanks for reading. 🙂

  1. For a moment I thought I was reading thoughts right out my head when very similar situations arose with my family and myself, however in my case it would be my mother and sister instead of your grandfather and father. Your fear is not fear since fear is first of the unknown. It’s doubt of not letting go of and not forgiving whatever foul deed or deeds your father has done before even if it was not done directly to you. or another family member. I to struggle with this with my sister who plays a similar role as your father does. No matter what is presented to us, we have to show unconditional love. Forget the fear, remove the doubt, forgive and continue with your perspective to love. You have every reason to, even so with that he gave you the card. I myself have not been so lucky until I began to change so that my perspective, expectations and boundaries are driven by faith love and forgiveness. I hope I am understood in someway. I just came across what you are doing today.

    1. I appreciate your insight so much! I absolutely believe that this is the case and I am grateful for this May Cause Miracles opportunity. 🙂 Do come back and chat. 🙂
