WHY AUTUMN, PUMPKINS AND LEAVES CHANGING COLOR MAKE YOU FEEL HAPPY AND SAD


Popularity and group thinking isn’t always an indication of good morals. But the collective’s attraction to specific people, places and things during Autumn are fascinating. It’s why I study popular culture and look for clues along the way to understand the anatomy of our cultural aesthetics. Color plays an integral role in maintaining structure and communicate expected feelings in our world. And since the season of the witch and leaves changing color is here I thought it only fitting to explore the fall season and its instant crowd comforts from leaf peeping to pumpkins. After all, pumpkin is in The Color Mage Oracle for a reason and it’s an energy you can use all year round not just when pumpkin spice lattes hit the shelves.
